How long were you on Spironolactone? And when did you first notice,
after starting the Spiro that you were losing hair?

I've been on the Spiro for 15 months now. I had no problem with losing
hair until now. I'm wondering if the Spiro is doing this to me. I've
also got muscle pain - another bad side effect of Spiro. I just think
it's strange to have these problems after being on the Spiro for so long
and then all of a sudden I'm losing hair and not feeling so well.

Last night was a nightmare. I washed my hair and the strands of hair got
tangled in my fingers. It was A LOT of hair and I don't have any other
explanation for this.

I was on it for I think 6-7 years..I can't remember when I was diagnosed
with Aldostronism They took me off of it after the surgery. I am not sure
if it was the tumor or the meds that made me loose it..but it is now
thicker..not as thick as I would like it but now the only time you can see
scalp is when it is wet

Awwww, that's too bad about your hair :-(, but at least it only shows
through when wet. I have a thick head of hair and because I've been
complaining about losing more hair than normal lately, I hear this from
husband and friends "You can stand to lose some hair, you know" - OH NO
I can't! People just don't understand unless they go through it.

Thanks for answering my question(s) I did some more research on the
Spiro earlier today and I've been finding more and more web sites saying
it's given to women for hair loss. I guess it works for some, but not
for everyone. I'm thinking it's not working for me any longer - at least
hair wise :-(
