Default What's that vinegar formula again?

Chak must get sick of answering this one!
But i'm a prime example of Murphy's Law. Last Oct(?) or
thereabouts, she asked me if it worked for me.

"Oh, haha, i am untroubled by hot flashes!" I blythely replied.

"God'll getcha for that!" 8~)

Got my first one in Nov. Now they are rampant. I don't mind
the daytime ones - they actually feel good because our house
canNOT warm up. But once the weather warms i expect they'll
pretty much suck, and even now, the nightime flashes are
creating a fair amount of discomfort on their own.

So that was ... cider vinegar? Couple tablespoons? Or more?
All at once or in divided doses?

This is what i get for not paying attention in class the first time.
Exam time is here! 8~)

The important thing for me, to avoid hot flashes, is to keep
my surroundings at a constant temperature and avoid draughts.
If I get chilled, that's when I'll start flashing, as my body tries
to compensate and overdoes it.

I could answer that for you. I just started using it myself, although it
doesn't seem to work for me. It was 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
daily. I also found a recipe for a vinegar drink. I played around with the
recipe to make it stronger though.

SEKANJABIN

Dissolve 2 cups sugar in 1 1/4 cups water. When it comes to the boil, add
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar, and a tablespoon lemon juice if desired.
Simmer for 30 mins. Add a handful of mint, if desired, stir for a couple
more minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Remove mint. Store in a jar.
It doesn't require refrigeration. Add 1 - 3 tablespoons to a glass of
water.

I don't use the lemon or mint. It's pretty nice, much better than just the
cider, or cider with water.

At once? Because that's pretty strong stuff. I find 1 tbsp in a glass of
water is what I can stand.

Yes, if you take it straight it helps a lot to try to put your foot
through the floor at the same time. You do get used to it, though.

I drink it in my tea throughout the day, and it seems to work well that
way. 1/4 cup to a half-gallon of tea. A quart of that is sufficient,
but I like it so I usually drink the whole half-gallon.

Wow! It helps!! This is wonderful. The flashes are not gone,
but milder and less frequent, and i've had *3* comfortable nights.
I found it most palatable in a glass of organic "blueberry nectar" juice.

Possibly 3 days isn't a reliable test term but i'm still glad to have
had these 3 nights.
