yes, they started off from Parliament Square (on the Royal Mile next
to St Giles Cathedral), down The Mound and along Princes Street from
that point.

packed up the tripod and started down the hill towards town and a bus
home, when the _real_ fireworks began - 10 full minutes of them,
happening just overhead (it felt) - there is NO zoom on any of those
fireworks pictures.
