Default Alertness

I can drink a pot of coffee and still not feel like my old self in
terms of alertness. When I was running I could run 12 miles and still
not have it although I felt pretty good.

Does anyone take any medicine that helps them with alertness, like a
stimulant, maybe Ritalin or something?

I find that I am naturally alert, in fact too alert for the slightest noise
affects me, its one of the reasons I find it difficult to leave the house,
the senses tend to get overwhelmed.

Too much coffee can really screw me up. Coudn't imagine what ritalin
would do.

I am drinking about a pot of coffee every morning and I still feel not
alert sometimes. It's just not all there the way it should be. Have to
ask my doc about it.

I seem to recall from a thread some weeks back that they are studying the
use of Provigil and Nuvigil for scheezers. I'm looking for an alternative
to caffeine.
