Default It is amazing

That all the people who post here are not paranoid to post to a public
place, yezz?

I think most normalos would think it would be something we would avoid
at all costs.

Myself, I don't worry about it. I am used being examined, poked,
prodded, asked to repeat my life story to several strangers within one
day.

There is no such thing as "mental illness", it just an invention to
sell you psychotropic pills and disinfectant to the gullible.

You are perfectly normal, Gelly!

When you consider the millions who share SZ/SZA, we must be an unusual
bunch.

I agree that we must be unusual. It was difficult for me to post here
at first. In the hospital I was more confident in the end than some
with sz. I also took a few months off from posting before my recent
posting spree, because I thought no one here liked me.

When I hear the stories about the people that sleep all day, and just
stay in their rooms it makes me sad. I know why some people do it,
because I was one of those people for a while.

I think you must at least be a bit crazy to post here, no offense
meant.

I don't think there are much people who read the usenet posts we make
here, maybe a hundred a month, compared to all the people on the
internet that is nothing.

There are about 2 million sz in the states so the people here are
somewhat an elite as someone called it in the past.

I am the only one from the Netherlands posting, there was somebody
else but left long ago, here there are 100.000 sz in the Netherlands.

I think the most sane of sz people rather hide the fact that they are
sz
than post in an public newsgroup. I consider the people here that post
more of the most sane of the sz population.

i only have contact with my parents or via the computer,
i thought about it for a bit, but it's not all that dangerous on groups as
long as you don't get those people encouraging suicide and all that

You have to be high functioning to post on this group AND a little
computer savvy. That cuts down the population here.

Paranoid thought of the day: that people from my old work have caught
on to the fact I am posting here and are reading it like a blog, from
my old work... it's vain, to think they would be paying attention like
that or find it that interesting to actually be reading it.

And what do they think of this East European weirdo who keeps apologizing
for compulsively and indiscriminately pawing at the elastic on your undies?
Inquiring minds want to know.

There's a movie coming on this weekend on satelite TV, "Conspiracy
Theory" starring Mel Gibson. You will notice that us paranoids have an
irresistable compulsion to broadcast our paranoias.
Back BC (Before Computers, the internet, that is) I was a crank
writer, and, just like Mel Gibson in the movie, when I mailed a letter I
ran back to the mailbox to make sure it really went in. The letters were
usually anonymous, but then, at every family gathering or any kind of
get together I would "rake my enemies over the coals". I couldn't keep
quiet to save my life.
Believe it or not, shame is the exact opposite of fear. Shame is
purple, and people turn purple with shame. Fear is yellow, and people
turn yellow with fear.
Some shame may even be healthy. I'm quite shameless. The stigma of
schizophrenia squeezed the shame out of me, and its gone.

They think you're just like all the rest, Miki. I got enough real
attention to make me kind of confused later and get the big vain
paranoid head and think that I might be continuing to get attention
years later.. Mwah ha ha again.

I have a shy side and a side that's very used to getting attention.
Don't bring out Ms. Big Vain Paranoid head.

Life gets very confusing sometimes.

More mirrors... on and on to infinity

There are some really good movies that remind me of the sz experience.
I would say to anyone who wants to know what it's about to watch Being
John Malkovich and The Truman Show. There must be others too.

What happens when Malkovich went through the hole himself? Saw
Malkovich, Malkovich everywhere... mirrors again.

Usually... sometimes it messes up perceptions of people and situations
though. I could probably write a paper sometime. Tonight work dumped
all over me and I'm not really up to it.
