There's a small but growing movement of people who are being patriotic with
their money. An MSNBC article has brief interviews with some of them, and

I like the suggestions in the article but think the economist who says most
of our spending on foreign goods is on gas for the ol' pickup truck, is
absolutely right. And the lady who buys American made clothes because she
doesn't want to support slave labor overseas, isn't recognizing the fact
that the garment industry in the U.S. is pretty much slave labor too.
