Default Article on Invega

Janssen is supposed to stop giving out samples of Risperdal to promote
Invega. Hopefully this won't happen until Risperdal goes generic.

I'm still waiting to hear if Invega has any advantages over Risperdal
(for the patient, that is).

Since the drug works for 24 hours, if you don't like it the first
hour, you're stuck for another 23.

Yeah, it's weird that it has been recently released and I haven't
heard much of anything on it.
Strange....
Also that sucks that it stays in your body for so long.

It doesn't have low sideeffects. It's just as screwed up as the rest
of them. Invega gets worked out in the kidneys unlike most meds (in
the liver) so they don't bump into all the other meds a patient is
on. That's good, I guess.

Thank you, so much, for the info.

This stuff sounds interesting, if they make it available in very small
dosages.

Interesting stuff about the liver needing a few hours to convert risperdal
to paliperidon. Extra doses of risperdal for high stress events do seem to
be slow to act.

A few years ago I got a lot of the Janssen freebie meds. I'm quite grateful
to them for that. Ironically, Medicare part D covering the med led to my
now having to make about a $100 co-pay for a 3 month supply. Under
Janssen's freebie program, I didn't even have to pay for shipping.

Invega, for drivers of old small cars. [humor]

It sounds like they might have a freebie program for Invega instead of for
risperdal.

"spock smokes?" I think Nimoy did. He also had an alcohol problem by
season 3. There is a DVD called "Mind Meld." It has an interview of Nimoy
talking to Shatner for an hour, or so. It makes a good Netflix rental.

Interesting article on this new drug.
All meds are about covered by insurrance here.
I will mention it to my psychiatrist when I see him
next month, lets see if he knows it, it took abilify
about 2 years to reach europe.

I'll have to look for the shatner/nemoy dvd. Nemoy is one of my
heroes. When I was in highschool I copied a tape of my sisters that
had whale noises and Nemoy speaking in the background. I got to know
Nemoy on a higher plane of existance. (Far out man)

The more and more I hear about Invega, the more I don't think it's for
me. My apartment gets hot in the summer time and invega can (and did)
mess with cooling the body down. There's another med coming out
soon. You take it with lower doses of your current meds. That might
ease up the anxiety and sleepiness for me.
