But I'm not fooled. I'm just being pacified in a different way, with a
good feeling. And I'll take the good feeling but not betray the way my
life has gone, because it's still my life.

Meanwhile, I've been offline modifying my Windows install CD, whcih is
a perfectly lawful activity (there are even fora on the Microsoft
website about it!) So far I have:

1. integrated all of the latest Windows Updates into the original
install CD--tested and works
2. slipstreamed Internet Explorer 7 and Media Player 11 into the same
CD--tested and works
3. created an unattended install where things like my product code are
already on the CD and I can just stick it in the drive and leave for
45 minutes while it does its thing--tested before and works great, but
not tested on this latest mod
4. integrated 3rd-party drivers for my chipset, video card, LAN,
audio, and mass storage into the same CD--about to test it and see if
it works. (The only problem I anticipate is with the audio because
it's Realtek, and Realtek audio drivers are world infamous for being
badly coded).

So if anyone has been looking for me on Yahoo! Mess, that's where I've
disappeared to. I'll talk to you guys later tonight.
