BL-1020 w/ GABA

They mention in the video (gotta click on BL-1020) that GABA doesn't
normally cross the brain blood barrier. The also talk about this drug
being a schizo's drug of choice. They are REALLY looking for big
investors. I bet Lilly or another company will gobble them up soon.

Gaba is everyones friend. I have taken large amounts of this amino acid
to no avail. Seems like only benzos will activate Gaba for the
desirable effects. No, it does not (Gaba in powder form) pass through
the BBB. I did hear of research in Israel for an a-typical
anti-psychotic drug that will enhance Gabas release. This could be a
lifesaver for many of whom who are afflicted with mental illness.

I don't know much about the chemical makeup of BL-1020, but if it has
benzo like qualities, it might help with anxiety as well. I'm not
worried about getting addicted to a drug that works - and allows me to
keep my girlish figure.
No eps with this one too.
So far so good.

Hi Erik...I am already addicted to benzos...use them for"complex"
anxiety. Seroquel also helps. Any new drug may be a blessing. Thank
you for the heads up on BL-1020. I am a speculator in the
"Market"...this might prove to be interesting.

I just googled BL-1020...Seems that the new drug from Israel is BL-1020.
This is wonderful...or could be wonderful.

but glutamine, which is a Gaba precursor, does cross the brain blood
barrier and it's considerably cheaper. I have doubts that be of any
help for schizophrenia. Based on what I have read the only treatment
that beats anty-psychotics is pure EPA (Omega that is). Unfortunately
pure EPA is quite expensive.

Interesting video.

The stock trades in Israel, but is supposed to trade on the "pink sheets"
here as: BLNEF.PK
However, my broker does not recognize the pink sheets symbol.

Financial info looks typical for a new drug company. They have a certain
amount of money (in a currency I'm not familiar with) and they have a "burn
rate." They make no money. They spend money to get their drugs developed,
tested, and approved. At the rate they are spending they should have no
trouble paying for phase 3 trials for BL-1020.

I'm very optimistic for this drug. Unfortunately none of us will see
it for another 4 to 5 years, which really sucks because my brain will
be fried by then and I'll probably have killed myself.

It must take a small fortune to get medicine to market, and that is a
shame. There needs to be some legislation making things easier on
those companies in finding cures. Ofcourse then there should be a cap
on sales.
Clinton had some ideas down that road - Obama don't let me down.

No clinical trials in the US yet for BL-1020.
