Well, I've been able to occosionally hop on my landlord's computer.
I'll be in once in a while. Here today again. Still filing the big
Disability case, it has now been about a year and a half so should be
getting close. Hopefully once I have it will be able to have legal
rights to ignore my past credit based on disability and get housing
only based on an ability to pay at the current time. Sheesh. Will take
the damned case to HUD and make them help me. Also getting into Voc
Rehab to help make sure I do have ability to actually pay at the
current time when I do have my legal rights again! Still going to
study court reporting/closed captioning if possible. Started talking
to them finally and they may be able to get me some living expenses to
carry this all out. It's all pretty overwhelming but am making some
progress. Again, sheesh. Before I moved I had an apartment for 11
years and a job with the same company for 8 years, I had thought that
was enough but apparently not.

Anyways. I can't spend a lot of time looking at old posts and stuff
right now so I guess just have to say hello and catch up on whatever
did happen to you some other time. If you want to try to say it in a
paragraph I may be around but I can't guarantee anything, just kind of
popping in at this time.

I had a suicide attempt on September 29th; disclosed my gambling problem to
my bank and made special banking arrangements; have been additionally
diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, personality disorder, and narcolepsy; and
have again started selling stuff on eBay. Lately I'm watching a lot of
movies, with my faves being _The Good Shepherd_, _Children of Men_, and _The
Big Lebowski_. I just got _Hard Candy_ in the mail but am apprehensive about
the castration scene and might not watch it until I'm in the right frame of
mind.

Holy Toledo that is a lot of stuff. Are you still working? Did you
get your benefits, however they work in Canada?

I am still working in this damned fricking Subway restaurant. Trying
to escape thru Voc Rehab. This is the worst job I've had since high
school. Tortures. Serving people all the time at my age is making me
sexually twisted. If there was someone to take it out on at home I
might be getting pretty mean at this point.

Blah blah blah. If my Social Security case ever gets thru I will get
some back pay, essentially, for all the time spent waiting. Guess
that's how the lawyers get paid and the system keeps running. When/if
the thing ever gets done and I do get that retroactive benefit pay I
will buy a computer and maybe go on a vacation.

My lawyer said working full time will hurt my case, but all I'm
looking for is reimbusement of the time I was too sick to work.
PTSD? What did you get that from?

Oh, so you are filing now also? Are you working as a security guard
still at all?

I am not sure at this point where the ptsd is from. Had cardiac
surgery as a baby, it may have actually started way back then. Or it
may have been a number of other things. Maybe they finally assigned it
to me after this moving thing and living here. I have to ask where the
docs think it's from, saw it on a diagnosis sheet. Knew I had anxiety
and panic attacks but not sure when/how they assigned the actual
disorder.

I am afraid for my SS case. Have had no choice but to work while
filing. This whole thing is pretty rotten. I have an appointment with
my lawyer soon will have to see how things are going. I can't say
right now whether my case is looking good or not, I have had to work
some and my pdoc care was interrupted, this may hurt the thing.

When did you start filing? You didn't really want to, I bet. All I
can really say is hang in there for now. I'm still muddling thru it.
Will try to keep posting on how my own case is going when I know more
about it. I may be nearing the end some time soon I hope.

the SSDI site says something about under $800 a month income. so if you
can't work full time, you might qualify.

i've also heard the rumor about needing a lapse of one year.
