Many here do have that experience.
My first week was a bit like alcohol. I was both relaxed and I could speak
up in group setting with little inhibition. In a week or two tolerance
builds. It still reduces anxiety, but is never quite like that first week.
As an addictive med, I feel it is important to not boost the dosage. Some
patients step up dosage and some p-docs let them. - I read a complaint by a
former user of clonazapam who went through withdrawals from a high dosage.
She hated clonazapam.
I've been on the same dose since about 2005. I don't know what the
withdrawals would be like. I'm guessing it would be like Vicodin
withdrawals, which I have experienced. I lived.... |

Yes, yes, that is what I take.
You will love it.
Just don't be tempted to take any more than the prescribed dose.
It is very dangerously addictive. Be prepared to be addicted to it and
be tied to seeing the psych docs regularly to feed your addiction.
Other than that, it makes all the anxiety go away. Yay, I'm so glad
you got some. Just don't try to party with it, it wouldn't do any good
anyway. All it would do to take more (I've tried) is make you sleep
and feed your addiction
Hooray. Just wait a few days to a week on the stuff, you will see
drastic improvement. |

Oh, yeah, withdrawals can be awful. You have to be really, really
careful going off of it. Sometimes you have to taper down really
slowly. You have to do it with a doctor. It is seriously addictive. |

| | | Re: CLONAZEPAM ??? I told the doc I have been relying on hard liquor.
And it was less then fully effective.
And alcohol introduces social problems with associates and other
negative issues.
He told me to knock out the hard liquor but three beers or so would be
okay.
This is good becuse at the biweekly scrabble game, which has been going
on for some years now, St. Pauli Girl ber is served.
Over four or five hours I usually drink five beers.
I started taking the pills, first one was at seven a.m.
Its 9:45 at the present.
I have some running around plans with friends today likely culminating
in a dinner at someone's house we know.
I think this is good.
I expect needing time to aclimate to the change.
I still feel the same relief I felt when I heard it was in the mail..or
a..FedEx.
My positive expectations are lkely unrealistic still I do believe there
will be improvement in my ability to plan and do and to carry through.
And to be more attentive so maybe I won't forget things.
All the tests they put me through all turned out well.
I have no medical issues with my head injury from last april nor with my
cardiovascular.
Nor with this major blood vessal that runs through my neck to my brain
which curiously enoug is shaped lke a corkscrew.
It ain't supposed to be shaped like a corkscrew. Its supposed to be a
normal blood vessal going through my neck.
It works.
Someone mentioned blood velocity....
They called it an anomaly, like differently sized and shaped feet or
finger prints.
It means nothing.
Two docs, independently of each other, marveled over it and said it
means nothing. Just my personal body variation.
Ultra sound on my neck showed it.
TESTS!!!!
Chest x-ray yesterday.
Next test in February.....more blood wanted.
As far as blood work goes, I feel lke a hallway water fountain. They see
me and bingo, they want my blood.
Anyway, one goal I set myself through this current "pproblem" was to
make appointments. I suceeded. LOTS of appointments too I may add.
I set three goals.
Anyway.....
Thank you all for your responses. Very helpful.

Its worth it.
Everything in life is a trade off, one way or the other.
Maybe after a week I will decide against it and go try the geodon pills.
Don't know.
I DO hope this will be a new chapter in life for me.
But....I did only take the first pill three hours ago.
Gelly, all through this you have been a support.
Nice.
Verry helpful.

you might plummet back into lassitude, but so far so good. Hopefully the new
brain pills will give you the pharmaceutical support you need to lead a
richer and more satisfying life.
I'll send you an email in a minute. Yes, I changed my email addy again.
