One can only hope the kids involved get justice--which to me means
having their convictions overturned and records expunged.

That sort of thing doesn't surprise me in the legal profession. I know
lawyers tend to be very elitist. My best friend has bi-polar and his
father is a high flying lawyer. His dad won't let him go on a
disability support pension (even though he really needs it) because he
is concerned how it might effect his professional reputation. He mixes
with a lot of the elite members of society.

They need to take the money from the judges and give it to the kids.
They could use the money to go to college with.
