Default definitely bipolar

It's not the "depressions" that convince me of it. It's the elations. I bop
back and forth between a sullen rage at all things including a hearty lust
for the destruction of the world, and a feeling of heartbreaking enchantment
with the beauty of the world. During my highs I do stupid things.

I see a new MD on Monday and am going to ask him to look into it.

Hi Miki,

I hope you're ok now. Sorry to hear that you think you're bipolar.
Though you can't really self-diagnose effectively, it may make some
sense.

Score one for String Twanger, tho. I find that moderate amounts of Lakeport
Pilsner and rye whisky with cola will take my mind out of that hyper zone
and put it into the realm of sober second thought. Now I gotta figure out
what to do about the polite letter of two months' notice I put on my
landlady's kitchen counter earlier this week. So far she hasn't mentioned it
because she's busy preparing to host a party on Saturday, but likely after
that the poo-poo will hit the fan.

Hi Miki, are you going around cutting more things off like your
residential set-up, like you did with your old job and your doc?

What's going on? Are you sure you want to do all this? Where will you
live?

No. I have a new MD I'm seeing Monday morning and, without telling him how
to do his job, I'll give him a comprehensive list of my symptoms. He'll also
be able to request a copy of my file from my former MD and my psych
treatment team. For the time being I'm content if he continues to refill my
perphenazine prescription. The rest can wait.

No, I'm not literally cutting anything off. With old Wanker Miki there
has never been a need for that. It's like I was born without anything to cut
off anyway.

I've discussed my thoughts on bipolar with Melanie and her niece, who helped
her clue in as to what I mean. I've also said that "when I'm manic I do
stupid things." She says she wants to talk to me once her party is over and
likely we'll have a polite conversation in which we can either iron out our
differences or agree that I should clear out on March 31st.

Should I have to move I'm sure I can find a place by then. Disability will
pay the same amount of rent for me no matter where I live in Ontario, and
$445 a month is pretty attractive for just a room in most of this province's
communities. So is the idea that the government cuts a rent check directly
to the landlord and there are therefore no deadbeat tenant issues. So no
worries there.

Miki
