Default Depression

Anybody else here ever been refused antidepressants on the
grounds that they are prescribed anticholinergics for EPS?

Also sleeping tablets? I have to take benzhexol and alcohol
in order to sleep a lot of the time (benzhexol DOES reduce
alertness BTW). My medication regime is a nightmare and
impossible to sort out seemingly.

I do remember easier times/relations with my p-doc and GP.
Maybe my relationship with the medical profession is just a
very large factor in my ill health in itself. It's just so bloody
ridiculous. I'm basically the same person I was years ago but
have been subject to "social work" and have become so much
sadder and downtrodden it's unbelievable.

I don't follow. Why would that be contraindicated?

I was prescribed both an antidepressant and an antipsychotic after my
first hospital visit. Of course, you are making me worry that the
antidepressant might be masking EPS.

The antidepressant does not effect EPS. It's just that the anticholinergic
is supposed to elevate mood. It does but in a very crude way.
