Default Double meanings

Playing around with speaking or writing with double meanings can be
fun.

It can also be very annoying to some people.

I believe I try to avoid actually speaking in double meanings these
days, because it appears passive aggressive.

But sometimes it's ok, maybe in this internet writing stuff.

Just for fun.

Good day.

Hi Gelly

when schizophrenia is in an acute stage when everything becomes loaded
with meanings then you long for a world without meaning without
significance.

I used to see 'hidden' messages in almost everything as I'm sure many people
on this board have, as chessucat might say its a 'gawddamned curse'

but I think its important to try and give language some fluidity and grace,
something
sadly lacking in mine! otherwise you end up with some kind of Orwellian
newspeak
designed to crush individuality.

'newspeak' worked by reducing the number of words people were allowed to use
each year
the ultimate aim was to absolutely crush the individual, eventually all
speech would be
automatic and have no relation to peoples thoughts or feelings whatsoever.

as Orwell himself might have said there are many 'douleplusgood
duckspeakers' on
this board.

Hmmm...I wonder what/who Gelly is reffering to, too, when she says
about playing about with double meanings?

If she can't come up with a good explination, maybe I could give her
one...

Some recent posts with you reminded me that I am guilty of sometimes
using too many double meanings.

What is your explanation? I think I was referring to just people in
general, and maybe myself. ?
