I remember reaching a place where I understood the true meaning of the
phrase 'keeping a grip on reality' its quite a scary place to be.

Its difficult to extract the experience and put it into words, but I
remember quite clearly the choice before me and exactly how tightly it is
that we 'grip' onto our reality.

to release that hold and face up to a completely unknown, completely alien
reality is a nerve jangling experience. In the end I backed out of the
experience and clung with dear life to this world, but the thought of what
lies beyond whirls around me.
