'Sometimes I feel so uninspired' if memory serves was an album track by rock
combo Traffic.

Of course, when I first heard that track in the first flush of youth it was
beyond comprehension that anybody could be uninspired, these days it is a
regular beat that plays 'lamentoso throughout my waking hours.

What do folks do to lift themselves?

I embrace my lack of inspiration. :-) It's probably not what you're looking
for, but it works for me. Life is peaceful with periodic mental jostles. But
I'm lucky that I have next to no responsibilities and am free to just relax
all day.

One thing that might help is that you don't owe anybody anything. Even
responsibilities are something you take on and keep for what they bring to
you. If something is a pure negative it's best to let it go.

Hi Miki

It's the darn waiting, although I am a proponent of not rushing to that
‘Stygian shore’ it’s the tediousness of it all. In some ways, these long
summer days make matters worse.

When I spoke of responsibilities I didn't mean life itself. I meant more the
things that strangle life and make the passage of time tedious. I do nothing
all day and am never bored. You might be feeling the pull of potential
accomplishments, but those are ephemeral.
