VIRGINIA -- World take note.

In the 2008 Legislative Season the Virginia General Assembly will pass
a series of so-called "mental health" initiatives, designed to
systematically strip mentally ill citizens of their basic human
rights.

In the aftermath of the April tragedy at Virginia Tech, bureaucrats
and politicians need a scapegoat to blame for the breakdown of the
emergency mental health care system and Virginia Tech campus security.

By exploiting the public's irrational fear of mental illness, the
legislature is in the process of building support for laws to deny
mentally ill citizens their most basic civil and human rights . . .
