going to educate mentally ill veterans, but, Honeywell executives
decided to educate prisoners instead. It looks like prison convicts were
considered better than the mentally ill.
I have a cousin who was a mentally ill veteran. He was also an
alcoholic, but, the system classified his alcoholism to be a symptom of
his schizophrenia and the alcoholism itself went unrecognized. Finally
he was "promoted" when his alcoholism was finally recognized for what it
was. Alcoholism is considered a higher status than schizophrenia.
Also, bipolar manic depressive disorder is considered a higher
status. Schizophrenia would be considered the lowest, only, child
molesters are considered lower now, but they earn it. |
