Are you taking perphenazine?

I am thinking of switching meds. Does the med that you are taking now
cause any weight gain?

Are you sleeping ok now? I remember before you were having problems
sleeping, I don't remember if that was corrected.

Eat some GABA a couple hours before sleep.

I think I have right to be ashamed amongst all of all of you because
I'm living unmedicated.

out some meds.

I don't want no "screw with my brain chemistry" pills.
My "normal" ain't noraml.
I don't want nobody screwing with my normal.

The answer is fix my normal.
The answer ain't screw with my problem.

I have a psycho sexual attraction to my dopamine receptors and I want no
bodies figgerings touching them.

Perphenazine does cause appetite increase but not weight gain per se. I've
been fat since age 19 and I was actually fatter on Risperdal and before I
started taking perphenazine in '91.

My sleep has indeed straightened out. The problems were caused by
caffeinated coffee, and I drink decaf now. But perphenazine does make most
people sleepy within 1-2 hours of taking it.

I don't recommend you take more than 24 mg a day of perphenazine or it might
have additional side-effects.

Right now the voices are too disruptive. They are not inside my head.
The voices are totally outside my head and come from the heating vents.

Before changing my dosage regimen from 12 mg of perphenazine twice a day to
24 mg all at once at bedtime, and additionally switching to decaf, I used to
hear faint voices from things like fans and heating vents. Once, in my
psychotherapist's office, I told him that the heating vents there sounded
like a woman singing somewhere off in the distance, too faint for me to make
out the words.

If you drink lots of coffee try decaf. Also, monkeying with your dosage
regimen might help you as it did me.

I spent *many* years without taking meds, but I had some available -just in
case.

I agree that reducing anxiety with some pill could have totally changed my
life.

My experience with p-docs is that they won't give you an anti-anxiety pill
without a neuroleptic. However, they almost never do a blood test for med
levels and would not know that you were only taking the anti-anxiety pills.

Scheezers on anti-anxiety pills sometimes become more effective in acting
out delusional ideas. This can have serious consequences. A scheezer who
hears a voice telling him to do something criminal might have too much
anxiety to obey the voice. Take away the anxiety and they may end up on the
evening news.

My voices never tell me to do anything bad and if they did I wouldn't
listen.
