meeting with other schizophrenics with negative symptoms

i had a look at the earlier posts and when comes positive symptoms i
feel pleasure and pain in life . my thoughts becomes more active and i
start to act . This usually ends in hospital. that happens when i stop
taking anti-psychotics . and this last very short if i compare them
with the negative symptoms. So when positives are absent generally i am
silent , not motivated , i live mostly at home , i do not do anything ,
i feel too out of energy even to talk or start doing things . i have no
job , i live with the parents, even walking is too much burden to me
and i do not take pleasure from things that usually gives pleasure . i
always have to force myself to do things. so any negative symptom
people here and want to talk ?

I've got more negative than positive symptoms. Atleast that's what it
feels like sometimes. If you can find a med that doesn't make you too
sleepy that you can take for the negs, you'll start to enjoy things
more. Meds can be tricky.

Are you taking an old antipsychotic or a new atypical? Only atypicals help
with negative symtpoms. Older meds can worsen negative symtpoms.

When I was on Haldol (an old one), I had negative symtpoms out the wazoo. I
had severe social withdrawal. I had communication problems so bad I could
hardly say anything to anyone. I was basically emotionless. After being a
musician for most of my life, I didn't so much as touch an instrument during
the 10 years I was on Haldol.

Things changed dramatically when I was taken off Haldol and put on
Risperdal. Now I interact more with people, I can carry on conversations, I
have a wider range of feeling, and (most importantly) my love for music was
renewed.

If you're taking an old med, ask your doc to put you on an atypical. The
old ones would be Stelazine (Trifluoperazine), Flupenthixol (Fluanxol),
Loxapine (Loxapac, Loxitane), Perphenazine (Etrafon, Trilafon),
Chlorpromazine (Thorazine), Haldol ( Haloperidol), Prolixin (Fluphenazine
Decanoate, Modecate, Permitil).

The atypicals would be Clozaril, Risperdal, Zyprexa, Geodon, Abilify and
Seroquel.

no i take newer generation antipsychotics.160mg Geodon and 200mg
seroquel per day. there must be something to do to get more pleasure
from talking and doing things. i used to take zyprexa and seroquel
primarily . there may be added some antidepressant to get things work.
i do not know.

Don't be fooled by "positive" "negative" crap.
Not all that is "positive" is "good", and not all that is "negative is
bad. Your worst enemy, Benjamine Franklin, deliberately lied about
"positive" and "negative" to obey his masonic oaths of secrecy, so that
today the solid posited electrons are called negative, and the negated
spaces, holes, in solid state electronics, are called positive.

want it,

I use coffee, but my med dosages are low, and I am limited in my coffee use.
Too much coffee and symptoms may return.

Anger and animosity dissipated - hallucinations at a level I can control.
Energy. Normal eating. Normal sleeping.
You want to watch they do not give you too much though - they said to phase
it in from 50mg a day to 400mg a day.
I took 50 and felt fine and did not increase it - although I did say to them
that I did.

Usually, these new drugs sound wonderful from the drug company, then when
they are in actual use folks in this group report nasty side effects....

For some reason they banned it in the US same as they banned Geodon over
here in the UK.
