| | | Re: Migual alias other alchemy61 characters Write up a good post about this so I can send it to Alchemy61. For
example tell Prince Stalagmite, who I'm sure is actually Vlad from
Molodva, that he is me.
One of the old Twilight Zones was about this guy who had a secret
that when he told people this secret they immediately went insane.
Finally at the end of the show he had gotten access to a nationwide
radio show.
This secret, which I hope isn't true (It would be heresy anyway)
is that there is only one person in the world, who like Dr. Richard
Feinman's basic particle that becomes everything by going backward and
forward in time, is everyone, taking one person at a meta-time after
another.
Look at the suffering out there in the world. The possibilty that
you may have to be them all, one at a meta-time, is overwhelmingly
horrible, and that it has always happened and alway will, only that you
forget. Do you have deja vu?
Now, get out there and find someone who can definately prove that
we can become nonexistent some day, and how. |

Now "this is not new, you have seen this entertainment through and through"
(Jim Morisson), one Hindu line believes that everything is just a
manifestation of god, this means that every single living thing is the
incarnation of this one god and that he is dancing a cosmical dance, that is
definately horrifying, that there seems to be just one person in this
universe, and i had once this feeling, that i was this god all alone in
space and time.

Now to this, if you want to become nonexistant than you defintivly should
follow buddhism, cause the goal of buddhism is to become nonexistant.aka
Pali Nirvana. But if you believe Carlos Castaneda, who in opposition to
budhism wants to live as long as possible, the extinction should not be a
problem, cause he believes that in the moment of death you seem to dissolve
into a cloud of energy that will be eaten by the big black eagle.

I think some of us in here avoid mystically related things and too
much religion like the plague. I am one.
I grew up with a mother who was very into all of that stuff, and
influenced me a lot. I grew up reading a lot of it and used to bore my
friends with long lectures about the stuff.
Then I had a psychotic break at age 17 and all that stuff was
intertwined with the illness. I also associate these things with my
mother's illness, she was undiagnosed but had some kind of psychotic
disorder and was a severe alcoholic.
I don't know. Sometimes I miss having the right mindset to get into
all these things. Other times I am glad I just stay away from it. It
really can be dangerous for some people.
Religion, philosophy, mysticism. Maybe someday I will be inclined to
think about these things more or in another lifetime. It's just not
for me any more.
I also grew up listening to the Doors and all the other sixties bands
and did my share of pot and some acid.
Now it's just not for me. I just try to live a good life and avoid bad
karma. Maybe part of that is not getting too deep, for me at least.
Or maybe I just spent too much time in low-end business world jobs
like customer service and data entry and all the life got sucked out
of me. Ha ha. I don't know. |

What I Am
I'm not aware of too many things,
but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box.
Religion is the smile on a dog.
I'm not aware of too many things,
but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Choke me in the shallow water before I get too deep.
What I am is what I am.
Are you what you are - or what?
I'm not aware of too many things,
but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Philosophy is a walk on the slippery rocks.
Religion is a light in the fog.
I'm not aware of too many things,
but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Choke me in the shallow water before I get too deep.
What I am is what I am.
Are you what you are - or what?
Don't let me get too deep. |

To me these days it sounds like a trip to McDonald's. |

Miguel,
It is easier to pass on knowledge than it is to pass on understanding.
(I think that makes sense whichever way you look at it)
I hope if you do not find nonexistence, that you at least find peace.

You don't need to put on a culture as a tool for reality, the
whole of reality, not just psychiatry's little corner. I could get into
some very politically incorrect humor with this. |
