Default minor change with meds yields major results

I was taking 12 mg perphenazine in the morning and 12 mg in the evening. My
psychotherapist told me to start taking all 24 mg just before I go to bed.

The first time I did it, my mind felt sharp as a tack and like all the crap
from it had been purged. That feeling has abated, but I still find myself
being more mentally focused and rational. I'm dealing with personal problems
in a much more constructive way. The zoloft I'm taking also seems much more
effective in reducing anxiety, and my paranoia is completely gone.

I used to sleep three times a day for three hours at a time. Under the new
dosage regimen I sleep seven to ten hours all at once, and the sleep is
restful.

That sounds good, Miki.

Ziprasidone(geodon) is also supposed to be taken twice a day. I also
only take it once a day at bedtime, my doc said it was ok.

I just had my psychotherapy appointment and forgot to ask the doc why just a
minor change in dosage regimen would make such a big difference. But we
kinda know anyway that, in the world of sz, whys and wherefores generally
don't exist.

Good to hear you have an improved med strategy.

I have managed and changed my dosages and times for many years. It seems
every 6 months I have a different strategy going. However, I think my
current regimen is the best I've ever had.

IMHO: It is the patient responsibility to work these things out. It would
be nice if a p-doc could be expected to know the answers. However, I think
the p-docs are just experimenting. *I can experiment too.*

I've lately found myself being more confident as well. Although that did
cause an issue when I stood up to an abusive eBay vendor and got my internet
connection hacked.

I spent another seven hour night's sleep.
Again.

I'm going away again.
No telling when I'd be back.
Week maybe.

Wherz Urtiz?

And Shillinglaw, the Winnepegian??
