Default my dead dog again

It has been about 2 weeks. By day, I'm mostly back to normal. At night I
still get obsessive thoughts about the events and the vet. A normal person
would have been immediately angry with the vet. I repressed it all, and it
comes out in momentary flare-ups.

After re-thinking it all, several dozen times, I feel I should not feel
guilty about anything. However, the vet's behavior was exploitive.

$1048.22 for a dead dog. It should not have cost more than $600.

On the other hand, if the vet had been honest about how sick the dog was, I
would have been in a position to have him euthanized while there was still
life in his eyes. That would have killed me. As it turned out, by the end,
my dog was in a daze. He was close to death already.

Sorry, QN.
Buy some flowers in honor of your dog and put them at the dinner
table.
When you think about your dog, smell the fresh cut flowers and know
he's in a better place.

Your dog dying is a sad thing. My black cocker spaniel died last
summer. She had eye infections since we bought her. Then when she died
we found out that her eye infections had gone to her brain. She died of
encephalitis.
In the Sixties I caught a hospital staph infection in Valley Forge
Army Hospital. It went to my eyes by the Sevenites. In the Eighties I
was diagnosed as having staph encephaliis. But, death would be an asprin
tablet. The infection has to go to the arising reticular formation of
the medulla oblongate to cause permanent unconsciousness.
There is a Yahoo group called Suicide4. There they warn of the
horrible things that can happen from botched up and failed suicide
attempts. You can even live for a while after a hole right through the
head. There was a guy in Vermont who lived for years after having a bar
of iron puncture right through his head. Doctors used him for
experimentation. You've got to get that arising reticular formation in
the medulla oblongata. That's where to aim. But, now we got that new
discriminating gun law.

That's very sad. But, the best thing to do is to get another dog
as fast as possible.Every dog is different so that the replacement isn't
perfect. I lost a dog who liked to play ball, but I haven't had a dog
who would play ball since. The replacment wont be complete until I have
a dog to play ball with me like before.
You can see the differences, even in animals. Each animal is
unique. But this culture doesn't recognize nor respect differences in
people. There are NOT equal rights in Ameirca, and this recent gun law
is just an example.

Hmmm. I was planning to frame my first photo of him. Flowers would never
have occurred to me.

Maybe I should buy a small flowering plant for the front yard that would be
in honor of him.

Thanks

Because the personalities are unique, I feel a dog cannot be replaced.

Replace? It is determined by how thick you are. If you have had
many deaths in your life, losing people, and pets, it is healthy to get
a little hardened to such losses. If not we're going to be looking
harder than ever for those 38's and 45's.

I'm not thick skinned at all.

Losing a pet is a tragedy, like losing a parent. And, I can't fool
myself any longer. Losing pets hasn't helped my bitterness and
depression any.
