Default "It is raining in that room"

There is this notion of "It is raining in that room" that I came up
with. At least I think I did.

Cuz I imagined a room in which it is always raining. Cuz if we imagine
our lives like being in a big house and we're going from room to room
to sort of change our state of mind, or change our state, because one
room is sunny and sometimes we want to experience a sunny situation,
another room is isolated, cuz we want to be closed in, another room is
big cuz we want to experience spaciousness. Another room is full of
people and we go in there to feel less alone. Another room catches the
light in the afternoon but in the morning it is dark and so on and so
forth. The thing is, each room has it's certain nature and if we know
the house we are in, we know the nature of these various rooms. And so
we are going from room to room to explore things and change our
states.

Well, there are some rooms where it RAINS. And it rains ALL THE TIME
in those rooms. And one might imagine a sign on the door that says "It
is raining in this room" for these rooms.

And so the thing is, it becomes 'do we want to experience being rained
on'? And if we do, well then, go into the room. You can choose that.
Maybe there is even something in that room where it's raining that you
WANT, maybe there is some food in the refrigerator in there, like in a
video game simulation, you may need to get something in there, but you
just know that if you go in there, you get wet. So be aware of that.

So I've noticed people are like that and some institutions are like
that. Like the news. You pretty much know what you get with the news.
Do you want to get wet? Do you want to risk getting a cold from
getting wet? Then by all means stay in that room a long time. And so
on.

It doesn't even really have to be anymore complicated than that:

"It is raining in that room".

I've noticed that I keep sort of coming across in my life these
raining rooms. One of them is a Subgenius I knew for quite a while.
Another sometimes it is a certain relative or a friend or whatnot.
Another was a creative partner. I keep coming across them. And I
noticed that really the 'raining rooms' I come across... those people
want to be 'catered to'. Because they believe they really are someone
special that deserves to be catered to and they want to be catered to.
And I noticed that to the extent that they are catered to, they get
meaner and nastier in how they deal with people. They start to become
MEAN. The rain will come down harder. Cuz the more they can manipulate
others into catering to them and doing things for them which they can
actually do themselves, it reinforces and empowers their sense that
they are actually better and more deserving of that sort of thing and
then they will turn mean on you.

So, yeah, this is what I've noticed with those 'rooms'. You know what
you get with them. And so for myself more and more I stay out of those
rooms and if I ever do go into them, if I need something there, or
want to experience something there, I know I will get wet. So I just
take all this into account when dealing with these 'raining rooms'.
