You're an idiot. Next to those holes are piles of
dirt that came out of those holes. So why would
someone dig new holes to fill in the present holes
when the original dirt it right there to push back
into the holes?

Everybody is not a moronic as you are. Holes
are filled in with the excess dirt that came out of
those original holes.

When I was a kid I used to play with the gopher, sort of. If he plugged a
hole I would dig it open. By the next day he would have filled it up again.
Sometimes I would dig to look for tunnels, or search for plants that would
just lift off the ground because the entire root had been eaten.

After some years, my dad had a plan for killing him. He dug a chamber at a
gopher hole site. At the end of the tunnel he put a gopher trap. Behind
the trap he put some grass as bait. We covered it and buried it. The next
day we dug it open and my gopher was dead.

Gopher traps are similar to mouse traps, except they have nasty hooks that
come up from below and....
