Sharing confidential information

Hi, I have some people from the Assertive Outreach Team visit me in the
community here in Staffs. I think there is a problem
in that my parents sometimes talk to them about me behind my back and
members of the team sometimes seem to share confidential info about me with
members of my family. This is one of the main reasons for why I have a
history of not engaging with the mental health services which is why I now
see the Assertive Outreach Team. How is it that the Assertive Outreach Team
can share confidential information about me with my family?

My mother has a bigger problem than I do. She constantly gets
in touch with them behind my back, that's why I wish she were dead.

My cousin is labled a schizophrenic and his family was
"disciplining" him like a kid, hitting him and punishing him for
answering them back. He's a senior citizen.
He, being a compulsive complainer, in confidence, complained to
his psychiatrist that he was being treated like a kid, like this. The
psychiatrist violated confidentiality by setting appropriate departments
against his family.
As a result, his family HATES that psychiatric system, and would
never talk behind my cousin's back to them, or side with them in any
way. His family is against that psychiatric system and now even defends
his right not to take his medications or submit to any treatment
whatsoever.
This strongly indicates that there are ways to alienate your
family from any psychiatric system.

The only presumption of confidentiality would be with actual doctors, and
the doctors have a history of rationalizing violations of privacy anyway.
Any social worker or psychiatric technician should be assumed to be
untrustworthy regarding things that need to remain private.
