Thanks George.
I'll be fine as long as electricity holds out. Without power it could get
cold and dark. The lights flickered once so far, since I got up.
Strong storms are novel here. There is a steady rain and the wind is
blowing the trees all around. The palm trees are swaying. It should be
light outside by now, but the clouds are thick enough that things are dark
out there. It is not as dark as night, but pretty dark. There is constant
noise from the wind.
If the power goes out, I could rig up a power inverter on batteries to check
email.
I have often been tempted to buy a generator, but the cheap ones use
gasoline and I don't want the hazard of gasoline storage. The generators
that use natural gas are very expensive and need professional installation. |
