Default sun tzu

I've never read Sun Tzu,even though awareness of some of his ideas
(for instance, the one about keeping your friends close and your
enemies even closer) seem to have filtered down from somewhere.

I can't imagine why a warrior would choose to put into book form, all
his secrets, unless he had left the main secret out, which could have
been that he knew that things had already been arranged so that his
enemies were divided and set against themselves, and thus having set
the scene, handed them the weapons to finish themselves off.

It seems more appropriate to me that 'a truth that's told with bad
intent, beats any lies you can invent' more accurately fits the
situation.

Hi Judy. I hate war, but I believe it is important to understand it.
Its like understanding evil, or a parasite or a system-scam, and
learning how to circumvent it and/or destroy it.

it destroys itself if you don't take part in it

It also destroys and uses good people too. Not taking part in it is
important too though, but not enough by itself. Good, fair people need
a good, fair system. But I believe being good isn't enough these days.
I choose to be good and anti-evil. Although I am far from perfect, and
do sin. But I gotta try. Peace.

Resting. Things have been getting to me lately. Just feeling depressed
and psychotic... I needed to disconnect from everything for awhile.

The future was stolen from an infant.
The thieves then went on to steal the infant's past.
then they came back to steal the infant's present.

How did the thieves lose it all?

You can use Sun Tzu against psychiatry. It's self defense!
Dopamine blockers are worse than death!
Sun Tzu was very wise and he knew that if he knew something that
many other people could and did discover the same thing. Many inventions
were also discovered around the same time by other people.
Musashi also wrote down all his secrets of strategy in his "Book
of Five Rings". There is a pleasurable compulsion to spread secrets. I
aught to know, I'm infamous for it.
Check out my http://groups.yahoo.com/group/alchemy61/ . My cousin
and I, and our associates have traveled all over the world to dig out
"secrets". We have read all those old masters: Sun Tzu, Musachi, and new
masters like Suzette Elgin with her "Verbal Self Defense".
If we are in here (in alt.support.schizophrenia), and we are, we
are at war, we are at war with psychiatry. You need every strategy you
can find; and, read the Bible. "You need every bit of scripture you can
get."

Hi Judy

I suspect that most warriors become tied of battle at sometime, and war is
carried out on many fronts, not all of them 'plein air'

There was an interesting study carried out by a Canadian university in the
1980's looking at war or more specifically peoples attitudes to it.

They spent two years reading letters, newspapers, journals' official and
unofficial documents ranging from ancient history up to modern times and
they discovered some remarkable facts.

First: approximately 20% of the people will always be against a war,
irrespective of the reason for the war in the first place. The enemy could
be landing on the beaches and they would be saying lets negotiate.
Governments recognize this fact and do not generally try to convert them.

Secondly (and rather surprisingly 30% of the people will always be in favor
of a war, again whatever the reason, for instance we could bomb France
tomorrow and a large part of the population would support this.

This leaves the remaining 50% of the population that a government has to try
and win over if it wants public support for its actions. It is to these
people and not either the anti or pro war brigades that governments spend a
lot of time and effort on.

perhaps I read to many commando magazines as child but to my eternal horror
I generally fall in to the 30% category.

best wishes

GWB's approval rating is stuck at 30% and refuses to go lower.
