Does not thinking about hurting the dog help? I am wondering about the
effect of how I picture the dog. If I picture it lying dead, is that to make
the mistake worse, or if I imagine the dog happy and running around a
garden, is that to deny the truth, if it is true that I really did kill the
dog?

Killing a fly with magic made you an instrument of death. is that
making you feel powerful?

I tried the same, I admit, but it only made me worse, because death is
uncontrollable and it is never satisfied: it will also kill you
gradually, eat you from inside. This is why most agents are paranoid
and scared: they are instruments of death and repression, eating by it
from inside.

You cannot defeat evil by that same evil.
You cannot fight fire with fire.

I feel regret that I killed the fly. I had no reason to kill it, and I
should have left it alone.

I have not explored death magic much since (necromancy), but have resorted
to it at times, and so have become aquainted with Death and his ways.

I do not believe that Death is evil.

Nor do I believe that Death would heed me and reap a life if it was
not...fitting to do so.

Death is always hungry. Disaster is never fed.

I have been desiring my own death and death of my enemies, I admit the
sin, but that was because of oppression.

Normally it is a greater challenge to keep things alive, since we all
die anyway, so why kill?
It is our weakness that makes us wanna kill. Our fear.

So you see that each war is preceeded by fear-mongering first. Most
people would not kill unless they are terrified by the enemy who would
on average also not kill unless being terrified, feeling insecure,
threatened.

Secure people do not need to kill, they are safe. Killing is a
weakness thereof.
