Default What I am doing lately

Nowadays I have the evening for myself and I am only
in the company of my girlfriend during the daytime
I live in my own cosy little house (with a noisy neighbour above)
and in the evening I study Spanish and have started a course
on Dutch spelling and grammar. I plan to speak fluent Spanish
in 2 year time, ok maybe 3 years time. My girlfriend is looking
forward to that, being able to speak to me in her own language.
As far as my Dutch language skills, I plan to start a course
creative writing skills in January that takes a year to practise
writing stories in my own language. Maybe after that I am going
to write a book. I hope to get it published but there is still a long
road ahead. So far so good. So I keep myself busy.

Good for you Berty. Keep at it.

I wish I could learn another language, but it is so difficult for me at this
point. My creative outlet at this point is music. I have been working on a
new blues tracks. Guitar, keys, bass, drums...

Take care,

Hi Girl,

I am doing pretty well on Zyprexa 10mg, I have good concentration
better than my old medication (cisordinol).
I remember you also wanted to write a book, have you already
started with it? For now I will concentrate on my language skills.
I don't have a fixed idea what my book will be about, but I think
I will write at least one book on what it is like to experience
schizophrenia, the onset and the gradually deterioration and
what it is like to be psychotic. I also want to describe what it
is like to gradually recover with meds and the how one finds
out that one was thinking psychotic and the acceptance of
being a schizo. It was a kind of shock to me after being in
hospital after a month or so and becomming sane again and
realizing that those two years before were filled with
delusions and psychotic thoughts. It was like "Have I had these
thoughts? How could it be possible that I was thinking this
and that, all those memories were out of sink (?) with reality.
It took me at least three months to accept that I was sz
and not paranormal.

Hi Jim,

Music is a great outlet for people and very creative.
It is a world on its own and you cannot see the limit
to what you could accomplice. There is always more
to learn. I have had a keyboard and after some time
I could play most tunes I had in my head by heart
on the keyboard, but somehow I couldn't make myself
ready to learn to play from written music. I just
couldn't play the notes on the paper, it was very
difficult for me. Eventually I gave up.

Hi Berty

I studied Spanish in high school but I really don't remember it very
well. There are a lot of Spanish tv stations here and a lot of people
speak Spanish in my city so I really should try and practice too.

That is great that you are going to write a book.
