What you write on the internet

I have had an accessment of a health organization and they advised for
to spend my days with an organization of the mentally retarded.

I was thinking , how could they have judged me that way? Is it what
I write on the internet? Maybe... to set things quare :

I don't believe in telepathy, voices heared by sz are just made up
by a psychotic mind.

I don't believe in people watching me, that is just paranoia, a
symptom
of sz that I have not experienced since 1994.

I respond very good to meds and have not had positive symptoms for
a long time. I do have negative symptoms, but I see that more as a
side affect
of the medication.

Well said Berty. That sums up my situation as well. Very similar, my
positives are under control as long as I take my meds, and the negatives are
either depression or side effects of the main meds.

Like PopEye the Sailor Man -- eye eats my spinach (meds) daily.
Remember the internet is (part of) your permanent record.

Well it is not so paranoid, because I told the social psychiatric
nurse
I was posting in the newsgroup for schizophrenia long time ago. But I
was not under the impression he was interested in it.

To be honest I thought the assessment would come out with a result
something like I didn't need so much care anymore because I was
stable for so long already and that I would be transfered to the
family doctor (which I have asked for a month ago).

Hello Jim,

Yes I remember a post some time ago that we are all googled.
Everything said on the usenet is stored, but what the hack, every
email we send is also stored, maybe everything we say on icq or
msn is also recorded and that isn't even paranoia.

But we do have one advantage over normal people, we can always
blame it on the sz. So we are excused mostly.

But I also think that a well medicated sz can pass for normal
more so than an average person. Hell, if I think of some of my
colleages in the past, then I think that everybody is a bit crazy.

I do have a we come back to you in a month or so letter
from that organization. Maybe it all turns out different than
I expect it to be. From what I read on their website
so far I don't think they have something interesting to offer
me, but who knows, maybe I have to wait for what they
have to say.

bet you'd do well helping retarded people. One of my neighborhood
buddies growing up was retarded, and to this day we're good friends.
We met recently at a funeral - all was quiet except the sound of organ
music and he screamed my name from across the room and ran over to me
to talk. Retarded people are just kids that never grow up.
I tried to get a job doing that, but I failed a question that maybe
you won't fail from hearing it.

is a term in the states called "Retarded Strong" that people use to
describe unusually strong people.


I think you'd get something out of helping retarded people. They are
all characters and can make you laugh outloud if you give them the

Hi Erik,

I was on the phone yesterday for at least an hour trying to find
my way into the jungle of health organizations.
At the end I was phoned back by a lady and I finally made clear
that I was a mental patient and not retarded.

I have nothing against retarded people and I guess I would do
volunteer work with them if I was asked.

I am going with the bus a lot travelling from my city to the city
of my girlfriend and in the bus I frequently meet retarded people
and I kind of like them, they mostly are so innocent and they
really appreciate it if you make a chat with them.

Where I live the same organisation that deals with mental health
deals with learning difficulty. This is all part of the propaganda.

It seems pretty silly to label a scheezer as retarded. Sz has nothing to do
with IQ, and most of us are above normal IQ anyway.
