Default Windows Vista

It's worse than Windows ME. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Really? I wouldn't call it worse then Win ME. That's a little harsh,
don't you think? I've heard a lot of people say good things about it,
as long as you have the hardware to support it. Give it another few
months until drivers are out for everything, and companies get their
programs to run on it, and MS puts out a few updates. Then it might be
worth checking out.

I use XP with a Vista theme skin. So it looks exactly like Vista.
That's all I really want.

I concur. Wait until 2009 when the next OS comes out.

I read this and thought, Microsoft wouldn't. Then I thought, they
probably would. Soon they'll have an OS that notifies the police when
you do illegal things on the pc like gamble. Freakin watch dogs...

They finally came out with a good driver for my capture card. It's
not great, but it works better than it used to. I doubt they ever
have one for VISTA in my lifetime.

That bad huh? I tried to install, but it wouldn't at all on my new
gaming system. It kept freezing the system up.. Luckily it was able
to uninstall itself and revert abck to XP. Didn't screw with Linux
either thank god..

I was interested in getting directx 10, but hopefully game companies
won't use it for a long time.

DirectX is all I wanted from it. I went to the developer launch of Vista
and Office2007. Hopefully, game designers will go with OpenGL and not
DirectX 10.

I would very much like an Apple, but they cost way too much.

I'm afraid Windows XP tops the Apple II. I'm more interested in the
Intel iMacs. They're nice!
