Yeah so and then....

A buddy..street buddy, homeless.
I just stopped him on the other side of the street asking where I could
get some cheap cigarettes.
I run out of papers for rolling tobacco and the tobacco shop is closed
on sunday.
Maybe they're Baptists or something.

He was on a mission. Floor cleaner and floor wax. He picked up a job
with a guy aroud the corner to clean and wax a floor.

He asked me where he could get floor wax.

So he told me "Larry's Liquor Store" has cheap ciggies.
I told him "Blake's Hardware over on Olden Avenue...few blocksdown from
here. Off we both went.

He hit the lottery recently had the famous thing known as "Extra Money".
So he took me and a homeless lady friend to the bar to buy us drinks so
we could act "normal" for a few hours.
Sit in a Bar and act like everything was natural.

Another friend came in. He's very far right wing. I'm ..kinda left. At
least a strong democrat. We always talk politics and obliquely insult
each other. Imagine two knives in two hands sharpening each other aginst
each other.
We sharpen our arguments.

He's also a combat wounded veteran.
And my brother first..before politics. I talk to him, well mostly argue
but whatever, right? Its like barracks life in my mind......

So he sauntered in and we exchanged barbs, as usual, and I asked him why
do they call them "entitlements" and whatever as he explains the problem
is "entitlements" and we always do this see...

I'm with him before I'm a republican or a democrat. He knows the same
fear I have known.

So I go tinkle in the men's room. Thing is, when the door to the men's
room opens there is a view from the bar of the urinal.
You don't watch the door the whole bar is gonna see your weinie.
Bingo, you just passed along a military secret to the other beer
guzzlers out there.
So, I'm pissing as fast as I can before the door swings open.

In the meantime, back at the bar, my friends are not being nice to my
friend and neighbor who I argue with frequently. Shit right? We argue
while he washes his car. Once we did.

So I come back from guarding my military secrets and had a sucessful pee
event under threatening, door opening, experiance and my political
nemesis had left.
Why?

They were unfriendly to him, thinking they were protecting me.
Protecting me from my "brother at arms".
He got shot up in some recent war and is significantly younger then me.

So afterwards , meandering down the street,they told me how they stood
up for me and I was upset and told them they did wrong.

Anyway, whatever, my friend went off to the hardware store for wax and
floor cleaner after his eyes lit up when I reminded him of the small,
corner hardware store.
Me, I sasheyed down to buy my ciggies.

Same guy who hit the lottery, homeless guy,. Small prize, but cash is
cash, know?

So I run into my political adversary and "brother" veteran at the liqur
store while he's scraping off one of those instant win tickets they sell
and I told him, I apologized. I told him I expressed anger at them.

He said they did kinda..ah...were disturbing, while I was busy playing
hid the saugage in the men's room.

He told me nt to worry about it.

Sure hope we can continue our arguments......

I told him it was wrong and I told him I corrected them when they told
me what happened while I was watching the men's room door...from the
inside of course.....
