Default 4 weeks SOBER!!!

Hi All!

I am now 4 weeks sober, that's right SMOKE-FREE!!!! I feel great, not
sick anymore (Thank god) and am very proud of myself for being strong
and quitting cold turkey just like that :-).

Well, Just had a few questions...

4 weeks sober, any symptoms I can still be expriencing after 4 weeks?
If so, what have the people out there still experienced even after 1
month of stopping. I don't have too many however, once in a while this
sudden thing pops into my mind for that urge however quickly goes
away, little bits of mucus/phlegm nothing out of the ordinary however,
I still noticed that at times, sleeping habits changed a tad, noticed
even after 4 weeks takes a little longer to actually sleep, I still
have that restlessness/short fuse from it, before when I'd get ticked
off I'd smoke and temporarily feel better HAHA now I don't smoke so I
feel I'm a little more short fused but getting better with that too!!!
So, I guess overall, when do you sort of feel symptom free or better
yet do they start to diminish soon?

THANK U ALL for your support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on your achievement Anna! You've certainly endured the
most difficult period of your quit. Four weeks of smobriety is great.

All people are different. So are the various stages we experience when
quitting.

Everything you describe sounds familiar to the quitting process. It
does get better and better as more and more time passes since our last
puff. As far as I can tell, there is no magic cut-off date for when ALL
thoughts of smoking leave us.

Some of the super old timers come back to post from time-to-time. Their
reports vary as well. Some never think of it and others still have that
thought sometimes.

Everyone says it gets even better and its well worth the effort to stay
smober. I believe them and am making that effort today.

Congratulations and many cheers for this milestone Anna.
Things can only get better for you as long as you keep away from cigarettes.
My best wishes.

Everyone is different. I've been quit for over 2 years and I'm still
waiting for this libido phase to kick in (I don't think that train
stopped at my station) and for the flatulence phase to end. (

You have done so totally great so far. I hope you have a big fat reward
planned for yourself.

Quitting is a process, not an event. Everybody differs on what side-effects
they have and how long they last. Just take it one day at a time -- you
can't foresee the future.

While we've learned to deal with our low frustration tolerance or the
occasional junkie thinking, we've also learned skills, tricks, and
technieques that enhance our whole lives. Enjoy! You have a lot to look
forward to!

ep oooooooof

It takes a lot to get where you are now.
What a great job.
You keep it going.

Congratulations on getting to 4WD, Anna! You are doing well and as
others have already said it will get better the longer you are
smober. As to various symptons, they do vary from person to person
and some of them never show up and others have two helpings of them.
You might want to read or re-read the FAQs which are at our unofficial
webpage, www.quitbuddies.org as the stages of getting smober are well
detailed there.

Keep on keeping on and you will be at FMD in a day or so. When you
do, please post it and you'll get a visit from the Original Yodeling
Gnomes!
