Default About Last Night

Last night after I logged off the puter and got ready to go watch tv for
awhile in bed,my cable decided to go out . It was out for about an hour.
WTF??? Until this morning i had not had urges to smoke that drove me as
crazy as I felt when the fucking cable went out. No I didnt have the desire
to smoke while it was out,but I was sure going the fuck up the walls, wanting
my fucking cable back on!!Oh I was a sorry sight to say the least sitting
forlornly on my bed ,remote in hand, clicking and clicking and
clicking.Desparately pining for my cable. Tv,internet,phone.....all out. I
tried to settle with a video but it just wasnt the same!!! Luckily for me,
it was only out for maybe an hour. Im thinking I have a slight addiction to
nighttime tv. I love watching shows like forensic files, cold case files
etc. and when i cant have them i aint too happy! But I didnt smoke!!

TV sure helps me through the rough spots. The PC is the source of
constant temptation, but the TV I can watch for hours without a
thought about the stinkersticks.
But personally I can't stand the forensic series, I just find them
hilarious:

Someone is dead.
Three dozens of police officers come to the scene and exchange cool
quotes.
We hear some theories and then the whole thing stalls.
Then, HOOOORAY, someone found a tiny piece of hair or fabric at the
crime scene!
And guess what, the bad guy is caught in no time :-)

You don't have to be an ex-cop like me to realise that solving cases
never comes anywhere near that scenario, and that the fact that the
writers exploit the same idea over and over again makes you wonder
what comes next. CSI Baghdad? CSI Moscow? I bet my ass those are
coming.

Also, the flood of ER series, Dr. House on top of the wagon.
Have we really come to the point that we need to watch people die of
heart attacks and car crashes to keep us entertained? Those series are
nothing but bad news elevated to fictional entertainment.
Just like news in general. They thrive of BAD news. We never really
get to see any good news on the TV or in the papers do we? Other than
maybe a last minute TV footnote about some mother having healthy
six-lets or something. The 10 second footage goes, the spaker puts a
smile on his face and the show fades out.

CNN, FOX, Sky News, here is a little Mointy Python poem for you. Up
Yours!

I'm so worried about what's happening today,
In the Middle East, you know.
And I'm so worried about the baggage retrieval
System they've got at Heathrow.
I'm so worried about the fashoins today,
I don't think they're good for your feet.
And I'm so worried about the shows on TV
That sometimes they want to repeat.
I'm so worried about what's happening today,
In the Middle East, you know.
And I'm so worried about the baggage retrieval
System they've got at Heathrow.
I'm so worried about my hair falling out,
And the state of the world today.
And I'm so worried about being so full of doubt
About everything anyway.
I'm so worried about modern technology,
I'm so worried about all the things
That they dump in the sea.
I'm so worried about it, worried about it,
Worried, worried, worried.
I'm so worried about everything that can go wrong.
I'm so worried about whether people like this song.
I'm so worried about this very next verse,
It isn't the best that I've got.
And I'm so worried about whether I should go on
Or whether I shouldn't just stop.
I'm so worried about whether I ought to have stopped.
And I'm so worried because it's the sort of thing I ought to know.
And I'm so worried about the baggage retrieval
System they've got at Heathrow.
I'm so worried about whether I should have stopped then,
I'm so worried that I'm driving everyone round the bend.
And I'm so worried about the baggage retrieval
System they've got at Heathrow.

This was THE ultimate non-coherent post :-) Who cares :-)
