Default Another Day KICKING my ass.

Ya know....Im working on 'getting a Life'...but in the mean
time........
I dont HAVE ONE.

So...I took whatever I got (which aint much for sht)..and Im working
with that.

THE THING THAT HURTS ME MOST IS I HAVE NO FUCKING FRIENDS HERE - Im
completely isolated.
(I had no firnds back in NY either LOL)

I met a guy a few weeks back that was throwing out a lot of furnoiture
- He was preparing to move him and his wife to a new bought house - SO
I RAN after him to the dumpster before he trashed it...and asked if I
could have it...he was more than helpful...he delivered it..and asked
me to come over to his house, because he had more stuff to give me.
Now, after almost a year...I have a couch...an end table w/ lamp...a
table for my 10inch tv..and a desk for my lap top (LOL)
an Ottoman, coffee table - I was blessed that night. It actually looks
like someone lives here.

My dog sunny destroyed the carpet months ago...and Im sure the office
managers will take a chunk$ outta my ass for it...But I caught the
carpet guy that was putting in new carpet UPSTAIRS from me...and he is
NOW fixing my carpet for 30 bucks as I type.

Thank you God - It was a MthrFcking BAD DAY AGAIN....But you know
what?

I still havent smoked. It crossed my mind a few times...I even felt
like I wanted to smoke, more than I wanted to stay quit.......
But No........Come Sat,I will be 1 month SMOKE FREE.

Thanks for letting me ramble on.

Silent Night

Three weeks, four days, 2 hours, 7 minutes and 37 seconds. 627
cigarettes not smoked, saving $100.35. Life saved: 2 days, 4 hours, 15
minutes.

It's tough to be alone and lonely in a new place. But it sounds like
you have at least encountered some nice people. And I know it won't be
long until you find some new friends.

In the meantime, be your own best friend! I've had to do it many
times. Be good to yourself. Treat yourself as much as you can. Most of
all, be gentle with yourself right now. You're doing something good
for YOU, and you are doing a great job!

One M is awesome! I will be right there to congratulate you on
Saturday, my QB -- and I'm right behind you.

Hang in there. When I was going through my divorce, I used to go to
bed at night and think, "This day sucked. But you know what the best
thing about it is? It's fucking OVER." And go to sleep.

Thanks Ashley.....
I cant picture that right now - I cannot see the light at the end of
this nightmare - so, I only get up and go drive and pick up disabled
cars every day - just to pay the rent, eat and bills.
and i bowl on mondays in a league (thats the only outside contact i
have with people - other than the fucking Abusive Tow Company from
hell)
this is my life...if you can call it that. Its whats left after the
'storm'

Im rambling again.

I don't give advice but here's what I've got to say. It will be
absolutely nothing you haven't heard before. You feel bad. You feel
awful. You feel like crap. Well, if you smoke you will feel worse.
You don't want to feel worse so don't smoke.
Another thing I have to say. It's OK to gripe, complain, moan and
groan here because that's what this place is for. However, if you
meet someone who you think might make good friend material (male or
female) don't do all that. Keep your problems to yourself. Don't
share your self pity as justified as it may be.
Take pride in your one month accomplishment. See the positive.
Sue
One year, three months, two weeks, six days, 19 hours, 43 minutes and
40 seconds. 15768 cigarettes not smoked, saving $2,625.39. Life saved:
7 weeks, 5 days, 18 hours, 0 minutes.

I am so damn glad to see you hanging on for dear life to your quit in spite
of all the shit going on with you.You are truly an inspiration to me.Reading
your posts helps me to remember that no matter what shit life throws at
us,smoking will not solve it,and that it is possible to deal with life on
lifes terms without sucking on a shit stick. So thank you. and I hope things
smooth out for you soon

First off, great looking meter!

Second, glad you posted this. It's inspirational, and I think it helps
in a way to just put this stuff down in words ... seems to make it
manageable in a way ... dunno, just my own experience here the past year
or so.

Looking forward to this Saturday too! We must party in chat to
celebrate FMD for SN!

You're doing it! Keep doing it! It gets easier and it gets better!

Cheers!

The one I was talking about:

Why does a dog lick his balls?

Bubba and Earl are at a University of Georgia football game.
Before the game begins, the UGA mascot, a white bulldog, trots out
onto the field, sits down and begins to lick himself.

Bubba says to Earl, "I wish I could do that."
Earl says, "Are you kidding, Bubba? That dog'd bite you ..."

No, but I've heard the one that ends in "because he can".
