AS3 Meet in NYC

This was my first AS3 meet and it was a lot of fun. It was a beautiful
day so I took my time driving down. Made it down to Stamford, CT and
then took the train into Grand Central then on to the #4 train to 86th
st. Had some time to kill so I took a stroll up to Central Park. I've
never spent much time in NYC so it was an eye-opener. I didn't realize
that Central Park was so pretty.

The ride back was pretty good too even though it was late at night. Once
upon a time I would have gone through half a pack of smokes on a drive
like that but not anymore!!!

Anyway it was great to meet Joyce, Stephanie, and Mike... great folks
and great food! Let's do it again!!!

Hi gang, sorry I was not able to attend but my stepdaughter was having

Hi, Phil, I'm glad you like NYC and I hope you will come back again.
I was quite impressed with the long trip you had to get here. It's
always fun when as3 folks get together and I was very happy to meet
both you and Stephanie. Mike and I are very old friends; he was
around when I first joined the group back in 1997. My neighborhood
has all kinds of restaurants. On Mother's Day, my son Chris and his
wife Melinda took me to Maz Mezcal which is a Mexican restaurant right
across the street from where I live.

I have a fantasy of an AS3 meet in Armstrong, MO. It's the nearest town to
where
I live, about 10 miles away. It used to have a restaurant for breakfast and
lunch.
The post office is run out of a modified mobile home. However there is a gas
station. They advertise cigarettes and ice cream for sale. They do, also,
have a selection
of candy bars, potato chips, gum, and soft drinks.
So, we could meet there.
But I'm afraid that when the guy comes running out to put gas in the cars,
everyone
will scream and speed away thinking they are about to be robbed -- or worse.

But really. I'm glad you all had a great time. I would have loved to have
been there.
I know the city, food, and more importantly--the company was fantastic.

Hi Mke, we had a granddaughter on friday mayy 16th. She is doing
well. Her initials are CEO! Againn,, sorry to have missed the meet
and hopefullly I can get to the next one. I was really looking
forward to meeting you.

Hi JAD! So it's a grandaughter, eh? Bully! You'll just have to
bring photos when we have the next meeting here in NYC. I'm thinking
if I hear from Wolfgang from Vienna who passes through around once a
year. Maybe then. I will advise the group if it happens.
