Default AS3 Mini Meet and November UK Meet

Hi all,

It was an unplanned, last minute meet but I was lucky enough to meet up
with Chris (aka eightpans) today. He was passing through my area today
so we met up for a quick coffee on my dinner break. It was really nice
to meet him although I have to be honest, I was a little
disappointed...after reading his posts for the last 8 months I was
expecting him to be a mildly psychotic hunchback with a lisp and
permanent drool. But *sigh*, it was not to be. I may be destroying his
reputation but I can assure you he is an entirely normal and pleasant man.

Thanks for thinking of me Chris...it was great meeting you!

Now the second part of this post. Chris and I talked briefly today
about possibly arranging a UK meet in late October or early November
(entirely selfish I know...I go on maternity leave on 26 October). I
just wanted to check to see if there is anyone else out there who is
interested in getting together? Nothing posh, maybe just a meal out
together to get to know each other, and possibly the odd clog dancing
lesson if we can coax the Dutchman over the pond.

Let me know if you're interested and between the lot of us, we'll try to
get something sorted out. I'm moving back to Canada next summer (ready
or not Sarah, here I come) and would hate to leave the UK without
meeting up with everyone. Padders...if you're reading this...count
yourself in as well - it's been too long since we saw you.

Lots of love

I should clarify: It's entirely believable that you met.
I'm just not buying the "normal and pleasant" bit...

I won't believe it without pictures--or, at the very least, a Police sketch
artist's depiction of the alleged event.

Oh no, I knew what you meant Jef. I shall begin work on the sketch
immediately!

And did you know, the true mark of insanity is replying to your own
posts. Hmm..interesting.

I had had a wash Jef and had on clean underwear and was instructed not
to let the county of Yorkshire down....however as soon as a crossed the
county border back into Gods County I farted, shouted at the top of my
voice FUCK IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK stopped the car and sacrificed a small
animal.

Just back from London, Phew what a frigging drive. I was very
disappointed with our capital city....I was not abducted and sold as a
sex slave and the streets were not paved with gold. When I got to where
I was going I was offered a cup of tea with *rice milk* I kid you not. I
was very trendy for a bit quaffing the old rice milk tea in a posh
London pad, like you do. They didn't even have sugar (it's poison you
know) I had frigging honey in it if you don't mind. Interesting but I
could feel my old dead grandmother wagging her finger at me from above
saying "don't have your head turned by the strange southern teas Chris"
It was a good job I met lovely and delightful Summer (glowing as an
expectant mum should be) for a coffee (real milk) and a chat in a quite
middle England village before the insanity of the big city.
I just managed to keep my hump in check and stop drooling and speak the
queens English just long enough to fool you didn't I
Sorry Jef I forgot all about photos if I had got my camera out my hump
would have popped out like a frigging jack in the box I promise some
good ones come the autumn.
Anyhow book me in for autumn meet It will be great to have a little more
time to get to know you Summer and anyone else that cares to turn up for
that matter, George and Barbara are quite close I think. I Should think
that the meet should be close to where Summer lives due to her
condition. So it might be as well to leave the venue up to Summer. I'm
not fussy though you can have it at Macdonald's for me
Regards Chris

Whoo! Glad you're feeling better Chris. :P

Man, I would LOVE to fly over the pond for this one but don't see it
happening, although hopefully I'll be in the UK next year depending on
where we vacation. Any AS3ers in Spain?

Love
Ashley

You Druids are truly scary folks! The November meeting will take place
at Stonehenge exactly at midnight no doubt? Shall we bring our own
little animals? Sheesh.

Ah Tiho...you have unravelled our secret code. I hope you'll be joining
us at Stonehenge in November. Although no need for you to bring a small
animal, we have plans to sacrifice something much larger now.

Yes Chris, you did manage to keep the hump and drool in check for the
full hour. I would have been well and truly fooled if I didn't have 8
months of AS3 experience with you. Sorry...but your clever ruse fooled
me not.

Hopefully we'll get a couple more people on board for November. I don't
mind driving as long as it's not overly far away (which isn't really
possible in the UK, is it?). Oh and preferably not in the London area.
What the hell? Tea with rice milk and honey?? I couldn't stomach
that. Give me good old fashioned builders tea.

Lots of love

But most of you are not from around there, are you!? Aren't you from
the North, where they talk funny? ;-)
My family's ancestral home is only a few miles from the place.
The NHT has not let anyone among the stones for decades, so the
sacrifice may not work out.
