Default Braille display?

I am using a braille display to read in the news group now, and I can't
stand this stupid thing.

OK, I looked that up.
Too bad you don't like it. To me, a sighted person, it seems like a
really cool invention.
What is it they say, "the best laid plans . . ."
Do you use text to speech?

I've never heard of that until now. How, exactly, does that setup work,
Dana? All I can conjure up in my mind's eye is someone running their
fingertips across their monitor... and that absolutely CAN'T be right...!

What happened to your old system? Wasn't it an audio reader?

Hi, Dana. I'm sorry you don't like the new system. Maybe you can get
used to it? Or can you go back to the old way of doing it?
Hope it gets better.

I don't know how I missed this post. Panix keeps about a months of posts
on back log. My screen reader wasn't on that computer, so I hooked up the
braille display. The dots pop up in braille what is on the computer. It is
kind of neat. I don't own one though, it was a friend's.

I gave the thing back to my friend. You can't buy one over here. They are
made in the U.K.
