Default cough cough. Going for a ramble....

I haven't posted for a bit so let's see,
what should I write...
What should I say?
Every-body loves the summer-time.
.........It Might as Well Rain Until /September.
No, no. Concentrate, Ian, concentrate. Think of something to say to the
nice people about not smoking.
This is a rather disgusting message, so if you've just eaten, might be best
to skip it unread....
I was free of any cough for the first three weeks of not breathing in
smoke, but these last 2 or 3 days
I've experienced sudden coughing that produces some very unpleasant
stuff, about 2 or 3 times a day.
Since my lungs are no longer being irritated forty times a day, I am
assuming this is my lungs trying to clear out the garbage that has
accumulated over the years. I'm certainly breathing more easily but
occasionally get a little stab of slight pain in various parts of my
chest. This is technically known as hypochondria, and there is no cure
for it.
I may make an appointment with the doctor to see what my oxygen level
is like now, and he can have a listen to my chest too.

A cordial welcome to this group to all the new arrivals, and to the
regulars a reassurance: I am still grimly refusing to succumb to the
alluring lure of Milady Nicotine, damn her rotten black soul to
hell...... The bitch has cost me a fortune over the years!

Day 27 so I have not spent about 275 dollars on old dried up leaves.

An excellent idea, Ian.

I think you are totally correct, Ian, that it's just that it took your
lungs a couple of weeks to figure it out that it was OK to start
upchucking the Lung Cookies. If it gets really annoying, do see your
doctor as there might be some medicine you could take to work to make
this process less annoying and probably more productive!

I'm sure I have a bottle of rather good cough medicine in the kitchen
somewhere. I'll try some of that, see if it breaks up the traffic jam
in me tubes. I've noticed a hot meal or a very hot coffee
often triggers off the coughing fit especially in the morning.
