Default Free to a good home!

One slightly worn and lightly beaten 13 yr old. Male. Housetrained, for
the most part. Not neutered but might be if I find him before you do.
Comes with all required necessities to raise him. Good luck with that I
don't seem to be doing too well at it!

I am sorely lacking patience today, and this boy has gotten on my last
nerve. Its a good thing I can't find him right now, cos he would be
scrubbing toilet bowls with a toothbrush.

I am chained to the phone hoping to figure out where he's gone, since
apparently, according to all the kids in his grade, he's not with *any* of
them. Lying little bastards. I hope all their voices crack at the same
time and embarrass them all summer long. May the acne of puberty stay on
the tips of their noses whenever girls are present.

Fuck me, I need a beer.

Sarah

Hmm.. I'll trade you for a 7 and a 10 y/o.. You get more years of worth with
that.. I'm currently trying to put them both asleep and I don't seem to be
doing good at that either. ;-)

Inky,

Quitting again since 13 hours, 53 minutes and 45 seconds. 17 stinkers not
smoked, saving ? 1,84 (that's euros =P ). Life saved: 1 hour, 25 minutes.

Sarah! That rant was certainly worthy of a 9.5! I am still grinning
about the acne line as mine seemed to stay on my mug for my entire
teen years. Relax, get that beer, and realize that this is part of
'growing up' and gaining independence. Yeah, he's probably messing up
right now, but if he were 'perfect' wouldn't you be bored silly?

Sarah,

I'll give tou a 9 on the rant. The only reason you didn't get a 10
was, though close, it's not looking like you were in need of the BDU.

I feel for you. This is exactly why I don't have kids (that I know
of).

Must be the time of year ... my kids are pushing all the wrong buttons
then mashing them with a hammer just for extra added effect. Jerks.

Good luck!

Hugs Sarah!

I hope you find your child soon. And indeed make him scrub the toilet
with a toothbrush. Take pictures and threaten to post them on the
Internet.

I'd have to decline the 13-year-old. The only thing I have to trade
are two sweet, elderly cats. But they are so little trouble (well,
when the stinker of the two isn't getting her head caught in holes)
that I just don't think I could bear to let them go. Plus, I've had
them since they were kittens and they'd be lost without their Mommy.
And they don't leave me calling people to find out where they are.
Hell, they don't even go outside.

What really grips my shit with my 16 year old is his inability to get
his lazy arse out of bed in the morning. For once my wife and I would
like to get up ourselves and ease into the day gently, doing the nice
coffee and breakfast thing without having the cloth armed one to tend
to.

from now on I'm gonna try to rock him awake

The child was returned, safe and sound, somewhat chastened at having to be
picked up and berated in front of a bunch of girls. Yesterday had 3
fistfights at school, and I was very concerned that he had had the crap
kicked out of himself somewhere. All is well, I will keep him for now. The
trouble you do know is always better than the trouble you don't.

I will take the boredom, Mike. Yesterday he got in 3 fistfights and thank
our lucky stars its finals, or he would have been suspended. Its not the
fighting that is a problem, we told him to start swinging to get some of
these kids to leave him alone, just wished his record was a bit better, he's
1 for 3 right now....hence the slightly battered and bruised bit in the
original post. I was starting to think that he was in a ditch somewhere.

ACK!!!! I don't even want to think about him being old enough to drive!!!!
At this point with the raging hormones, and apparent IQ deficiency (I am
sure I didn't drop him *that*many times) I don't think I can take drivers

Thanks for the hugs, Hon! I needed that!

We have the unfortunate problem of living 8 miles from the school. It is
another town over, which leads to all kinds of problems when they are
feeling mature enough to make their own decisions. Makes you want to duct
tape them to their beds until they are old enough to kick out, eh?

Look at that meter!! Happy WW Angie!! good for you!!!!! In honour of your
milestone...

I wasn't that mean, this time. I have done that before though. Men - take
note if you EVER pee on the toilet seat during a woman's hormonal time,
ahem, it *is* in the fine print that we have all authority to hand you the
toothbrush and make you get scrubbing.

I hope you evening is going well, Ashley, I am thinking of you!

We used to have that problem, but Captain Procrastination didn't much like
going to school in his pyjamas last year. He now gets up when I call him.

I'm late to this but decline your offer of a trade. Missy, I did my
time four times over. Ain't happenin' again. 13 you say? He's going
to get worse, lots worse, but I think I've told you that before. I'd
give you some patience, but I ran out of that in August of 1974 and
have never regained it. But, that's what you need. Patience. Lots
and lots of patience. You also need a good sense of humor but you
have that down pat. And, Steve. Don't get rid of him until Nick is
18. )

the adolescent years, pimples, pubic hair and a 'baditude' Grankids are just
the best, no training involved just fun, fun, fun and then hand them back to
Mum and Dad.

My oldest daughter was quite small, shy, quiet and with few friends in
the 8th grade (total of 30 kids in the entire 8th grade class - small
school in Alaska). There was this kid who was a misanthrope and
bully. The school didn't seem to be able to do anything with him so
I'd told my daughter that if she just couldn't take being pushed
around by this kid anymore that she had my permission to hit back. The
school wouldn't like it and she would be breaking the rules, but I
wasn't going to be angry. Well, one day the kids were in the gym and
told to line up and Jess was messing around and the whole class was
going to get into trouble. I don't recall precisely what happened but
my daughter ended up pushing him pretty hard. He didn't fall down but
his glasses went flying off (she wore glasses, too). They were both
taken to the principal's office. When my daughter went back to class
all the kids started applauding her. She had to do one day of
detention. Sarah, when Nick is grown up you're going to look back
with regret on certain small things that you didn't do and should have
or did do and wished you hadn't. Well, I regret not serving detention
with Jennifer. I should have been sitting right there with her.
BTW - it was Jess's last day in that school. He ended up being home
schooled. I hope he turned out OK.
I'm glad Nick got home OK. I can understand your anxiety.
