Default Gah - 3 months

Breathing freely for 3M 9h 41m (92 days). € 235,62 added to the
Save Vashti Fund, as I didn't turn 3.234 cigarettes into ash. 1W 4D
5h 30m of my life saved for later. Quit: 14-6-2007 13:30 CEST.

And no I'm not cheering... I'm seeing all those times where I was
so close to falling that it was sheer luck that I'm still breathing
freely.

If I'd have had a car that needed gas or hadn't avoided any
situation where I could have smoked I'm pretty certain my most evil
cravings would have gotten the better of me.

No, my cravings haven't gotten less. No, cravings don't "just" last
for a few minutes (at least not on planet Vashti) but also - no, I
haven't killed anyone yet either though I've had some close calls
the past few days. Gained a few kilos and Mr pot-belly objected to
my eating goodness knows what cause I'd "gained so much weight
already"... death-wish or what?

Yep, I'm grumpy, snappish and have no temper to my temper... I say
he deals with it, no way complaints about my mood are going to turn
me into Miss sweetness and light in *this* life time!

Sorry I'm not replying to posts while I'm here: today my brain
decided to have 2 migraine auras with the usual accompanying
nonsense. :-/

Oh but yay... some good news: I seem to be getting a cold! May my
sense of smell be dimmed or absent) for at least a week or so!

Just to clarify: with chronic pain and no car, my mobility is rather
limited... a trip to the shop isn't easy and the few times I went I
took the kids "just in case".

Congrats on reaching your QOF status Vashti. I'll cheer
for you. I've been in so many rocky situations in my quit
where I came close to smoking I know how it feels. Still,
at the end of the day all that counts is that you didn't smoke!

Congrats on not murdering people as well. I'll help you
hope your migraine will go soon. Stay strong,
Robin.

Well your not voluntarily killing yourself slowly......which IMO is a
great thing. Sorry to hear you are having a bad time of it. I had a long
time feeling like this (I am not saying how long) but it did pass, it
will for you, it did for me. Just hang in there is all you can do. I
promise it will get better I cannot say when but it will, when it does
get better you will look back and think thank God I hung on.
Stay Strong
Kind Regards Chris

You are also utterly beautiful. Inside. I would not know about the
outside but I have a feeling men in your street are required to wear
paper bags on their head while outside, by their wives.

Your sense of humour is the true reflection of your beauty Vashti.

I hope we will exchange bits and bytes for many years to come. Smoke
free of course.

Congrats on 3 months (and a week)
Believe it or not, you are getting over the hump. The 4th month seems to be
when the sunshine starts to peek back out for many quitters.
You are doing great Vashti.
Cheers!
Cat

Vashti! I somehow missed this posting until today. I do hope you are
feeling better and cheerful with your QOF as that is a great space to
be at. It does get better the longer you stay quit so keep on keeping
on and show us the way. Now, sit back and enjoy as the Original

help you celebrate this milestone!
