Default HALT

This brought to mind the HALT concept. Beware of becoming Hungry,
Angry, Lonely, and/or Tired. These are all conditions that can
leave us emotionally weak.

Sex is what is used to prevent Angry and Lonely. Unfortunately, it
doesn't help Hungry (don't go there!!!) and it actually contributes
to Tired.

i learned early on in my sobriety, that the HALT program really works, but
imo, it is missing the S at the end.
hungry, angry, lonely, tired, sick.

when i am emotionally or physically, "under the weather", is a great time
for addiction to call my name!
my mental illness (depression) when unmanaged, makes the use of ANY kind of
drugs, a good idea.
i need to take extra caution to always consider the S in the HALTS PROGRAM.

Absolutely, thanks for the reminder. That is so true, Wayne.
And I agree with Rosie. Everything always is worse when you don't feel
well.
