Hey Becky!!

Last night I finally configured 'Agent' to use for newsgroups/email.
The first thing I did was download 'ALL HEADERS'. I got close to
500,000 headers dating back to early 2003. I spent the entire evening
reading the old posts. Saw a familiar face there in the group during
my own struggles in 2003/2004....YOU!! And you're still here, lady!
That shows right there that you really do want to quit and you know
that this group can help you. I know you're lurking, sweetie.....I
did that a lot myself when I was between quits. I also know that
you'll eventually want to come out and give it another try. I always
felt like crap whenever I busted a quit. But I finally got tired of
the 'cycle' and gave it up for good. I know you'll do it again, too.
You're going to find that freedom that so many of us enjoy as a
non-smoker. It's so much easier to stay quit now. UGH!! I'm not
very good with words here....but I guess you just have to learn to
LOVE yourself more than those little white doggie dicks (thanks,
Wheeler!)!! I'll be watching for ya, lady.....I know you're gonna do
it when you're ready to.....

My heavens, what a ghastly traumatizing experience to be going through
this for these many years. My heart goes out to you Becky. I know
you are trying as hard as you can right now, and will be working hard
to align your ducks. I'm genuine heart-warmed by the number of
enthusiastic, compassionate pleas to you, if you ever had to know you
are not alone you must know it now.

I spent 10 years mostly just talking about quitting, worrying about
quitting, and pretending to be quitting.
Becky is doing much, much, better than that.

Me too Becky. I've been there. When I came into AS3 there was a lady in
front of me (Nicole, of the "Freezing" variety) who slipped a bunch. She
kept at it. She finally got quit, and I slipped a bunch for a couple years.
Becky, YEARS. But I kept coming back. June 10, 02 I smoked my last smokes.
And slipped on June 16th. That was almost 6 years ago now. Oh, and I
slipped in Dec 2004 but I didn't reset my meter, and don't "count" it. But
it happened. And I don't smoke. You are going to make it Becky. Don't let
a handful of "tough love" folks ruin it for you. There's a bunch of us
coddlers here, who had to be coddled!! ::lmao:: We love you. We will be
here for you when you come back in.
