Default I need to pass on the cookbook. any takers?

Hi everyone, I must say I am embarrassed that I just found this message in
my mailbox....

Thanks Ashley! Those showed up in my mailbox this morning. I should have

them published in time for folks to go shopping and do some weekend baking

;-)

Thanks!

Oh MY! I never did get that taken care of :-(

As a matter of fact, even though I don't get that many new recipes, it seems
like whenever I do I have a hard time finding the time to update the
website.

My youngest son is graduating high school next month. Prom is this weekend.
Both him and my daughter have joined the military and are leaving later in
the year. My step-son is considering moving in with us to continue his
education here. LIFE IS CRAZY RIGHT NOW and what with all the things we have
going on it is only bound to stay hectic. Most of it is good. There is a
lot of stress of becoming an empty nester (I'm too young not to have
children around!)... its hard for me to let go of the kids, especially
joining the military..... but, I am so proud of both of them! My daughter
joined the Navy and is signed up to be an aviation technician. She wanted
to make sure she would be stationed on an air craft carrier like her dad
was. She leaves in August. Unhappy with going to school, she decided to
join the Navy after her brother started looking into it. My son is in SEAL
training. He supposedly has about a 3% chance of making it, but he used his
own savings to purchase a gym membership, downloaded the seal training
regimen and is working hard. If he doesn't make it into or through the
program he will be a Gunners mate instead. Guns and munitions... why am I
not surprised? He leaves in November. Life is full of good things too. My
mom will be with me for a week before the graduation. My oldest son is
flying out for a week around the same time and is bringing his girlfriend of
2 years. Spring is in the air and summer is right around the corner. I have
gardens to plant and yards to landscape, vacations to go on, (St. Louis!)
camping to do, family to visit and dogs to take to the park. Oh, and square
dancing. Gotta make time for square dancing! And I will ALWAYS make time
to stop in here and read a post or two... and the thoughts for the day....
every week.

Anyway, if there is anyone who is willing and able to take over the care of
the AS3 Virtual Cookbook, I can send along the files to be set up on your
own server. After I get Ashleys recipes published first! Let me know if you
are interested....

Leslie, I'm not sure that I could take the whole thing over but I'd be
happy to assist if you need help.

Yes, Thanks, August, for all the work you have given the cookbook
while it was under your care. That we have such a project lends
credence that we really are a 'community' and our interest go much
further than simple smobriety. Leslie, I am thrilled to see you step
up to be the next foodie! I know you'll do well with this!

I'd love to take over the AS3 cookbook and now kinda feel like that
kid in class with her arm stretching towards the sky, hand waving,
"Ooh! Ooh! Pick me!! Pick me!!" :-)

Ashley (HermitCrabby-I just love that nick, whether it's appropriate
in AS3 or not! :-):

August has given me her blessings to take over the cookbook. I've
started on it, but it take awhile to get it all transferred. I can
use your help, though.

I think you have my email, but don't remember. I keep too many email
addresses active. I keep thinking I should eliminate some, but I
never do. Anyway, when you have time please email me at: leslieb AT
clintoniowa DOT us

Going back to bed. Have felt like crap all day. Feels wonderful to
climb into my bed with 600 thread count sheets, pull them and my down
comforter up to my chin and drift away. (and my sheets have NO burn
holes!!!!! :-)
