Default I'M BACK!!!! :)

Hi fellow nicotine addicts......you wild and crazy bunch. I've missed
you! And I am still a non-smoker.......yippee!! But I will fess up and
say that I did smoke a few when I was in KY. I didn't take enough
Chantix with me for the trip and I do think it made a difference. But
it also made the few I smoked taste eh not so good. I didn't reset my
meter but by my calculations I have been totally, honestly smoke free
now for 20 days. And I really don't miss it now that I'm home. I am
going to continue it through month 3 though just to solidify things.
Thank God you guys talked me out of going off of Chantix completely
because I just know I would have totally relapsed and back to smoking
a pack. I'm glad I don't live in my hometown! It's a slippery place
for me in more ways than one!
Hugs and blowing kisses to all of you! Did I miss the assless chaps
while I was gone?????
Angie

Well, golly, Angie. I just had them on last night. <G>

I'm sorry you didn't have enough Chantix with you to stay smober
during your visit but getting right back on it is the best option.
Remember, that they suggest 90 days but say that going 180 can be an
option. Do feel in your gut that the quit is yours before you give up
the Chantix. To totally blow it now means the heartbreak of starting
over from scratch with all the attendant BS.

Welcome back, Angie. Sorry about your lapse but good for you for not
letting it scuttle the whole quit.

welcome back. although your meter is your meter and you can do anything with
as you like, but saying totally honestly smokefree isn't quite right.
Or is 20 days since you smoked on vacation? in that case good for you

It's 20 days since I smoked....wasn't a vacation though. 21 days now.
I feel good knowing that those few I had after being quit a month were
just not worth it. I'm happy that I have no temptations around me at
home so I can solidify this, my final quit!

Kick nicodemon ass Angie.
If you aren't totally aggressive against it, it will sneak up on you!
It is work for quite a while, but it is your freedom and health you are
fighting for.
One thing about resetting your meter is the nicodemon can't accuse you of
"cheating in the past". Good job!

Don't ever forget why you quit.

So true Kevin! No cheating.....total honesty here. I am so glad that
thoughts of smoking are dwindling fast.....today it probably ocurred
to me about 5 times total....as opposed to 5 times an hour during the
first two weeks! Progress!!

Thanks Thomir & Ashley! Good to be back. I sometimes just start
smiling when I realize I've gone most of the day without a cigarette
crossing my mind!! It's liberating!
