Default IRC

I am happy to announce that the first AS3 IRC chat in a long time has
just taken place. It was Dana and me, and I can not thank Dana enough.

I have a dream.

YAY Tihomir! AND Dana!

Is there any way the rest of us can get in on this ... I'm pretty
computer illiterate and not sure about this whole IRC thing.

Ashley! Thank you for asking!
All you need is an IRC client program. There are many but I will
recommend NetTalk because it is simple and free:
http://www.ntalk.de/Nettalk/en/
There are many others, more powerful ones. Feel free to explore!

Once you download and install it, run it and then click the first icon
to set up a new connection, then under the "IP or server name" field
enter irc.starlink.org
Click next, then choose and enter your nickname, then click the
Complete button.
Now you need to click the Rooms button in the main window, and
doubleclick #nosmokers.

It's that simple, later on all you need to do is start the program,
and you will be in the room, ready to chat away!

There are many reasons why I prefer IRC over Java chat rooms, I hope I
can help you discover them in the run :-)

If you need any further help let me know please.

machine, but got so confused, LOL.

There are dozens of IRC clients out there, mirc is just the most
popular. Nettalk is, unlike mirc, one of the free ones.
