Cautiously peeking out (in case anyone actually remembers me from over a
decade ago).
Back then, with support from folks like Bud Ellis, Carol G., The DD gang
and many others, managed to stay smober for 18 months.
Between that quit and the current one, I managed an 8 month quit (about
2 years ago).
Noticing there are now not only Old Fogies (that's all we had back then)
but a complete variety pack of Fogies.
Congratulations to EVERYONE who has managed to stay smober all these
years while guys like me go out and do more research. Just so you
know, its still addictive, its still destructive, and its still a heck
of a lot easier to Stay Quit than it is To Quit !!!
Doing a cold turkey quit. After more than 72 hours, I can now say, Hey,
its good to be back home again.

Three days, 3 hours, 9 minutes and 23 seconds. 87 cigarettes not smoked,
saving $13.81. Life saved: 7 hours, 15 minutes. |

Well, Wayne, just throw caution to the wind and march right on in
here! I don't remember you because I was still killing myself a
decade ago.
Make yourself right at home, you've been here before so you know where
everything is. Welcome back!!
I'm looking forward to getting to know you. I'll close with my meter
so you can know just a bit about me:
Two years, ten months, one week, one day, 23 hours, 46 minutes and 11
seconds. 62519 cigarettes not smoked, saving $7,814.93. Life saved: 31
weeks, 1 hour, 55 minutes. My quit date and time is September 29, 2004
@ 3:00PM. Yes, the figures are correct. They're based on 3 packs/day
(20 stink sticks/pack) at a cost when I quit of $7.50US for 3 packs.

I haven't smoked since 7/8/2007 2:30 PM. That's 4 Weeks, 2 Days, 7 hours
and 52 minutes. The Tobacco Company and the taxman didn't get $151.62 of
my money. They can take their 606 sickarettes and shove 'em right up...
Anyway, I get to live an extra 2 Days, 2 hours and 30 minutes.
