Lurkers

I just noticed in the section to the right of the threads that Google
states there are now 1003 members who are subscribed to AS3. If I
remember correctly when I started back with the group in February of
'07 there were just a little over 900 subscribers. While I doubt all
of us read the NG daily, it still tells me that there have to be a LOT
of lurkers.

So, to all of you who lurk, Howdy! And do not be afraid to say hello
or post a milestone when you hit one!

That's interesting - my newsreader is somewhat out of date so I only see
the threads in the newsgroups that I download and the messages in them.
But I see no advertizements!

not smoking 16,373 cigarettes. I have saved 1M 3W 4D 20h 25m of my life. My

I have been lurking since Nov '06 when I quit. Just knowing there were lots
of others out there in the same boat as I was, made the quit a lot easier
than previous attempts. Thanks to all the regular posters who gave me the
support I needed to stick with the quit!!!

Sue, I'm sure that's only for what his reader has read.

Hi Bob! Thanks for de-lurking and sharing this terrific meter with
us. Every time I have talked with someone from AS3 we always talk of
'the lurkers' and wonder how much they get from just reading the NG.
I am thrilled to see that this really worked in your case. Do come
back when you hit 1Y 6M [which ought to be today or tomorrow] and I
expect the Gnomes will show up and celebrate with you!
